The Bugatti Veyron: F1 power, Bentley luxury, VW reliability
Did you always want a Bugatti Veyron, but worried that it was a bit too general? Well, with the new super Veyron, you should not have a problem, said Nick Hall in The Sunday Times. Mansory the Vincero Bugatti Veyron will “sort of oil barons from hedge fund managers”.
Each will get you back € 1.7m, and for that you get a W16 engine tuned to deliver 1109 bhp against the standard Veyron’s “mere” 987. You also get a dark chrome paint job, minor changes to the bodywork and a clear contour and white interior. But “the truth is that the Veyron is so strong that the difference was Vincero difficult to recognize on a public street”. (See www.mansory.com.)
Another option would be to go to one of the new Bugatti own limited run special edition built to celebrate the hundredth anniversary of the company, said Ben Oliver in The Mail on Sunday. However, although for € 1.35m, the fourth may be sold at the time you read this. (See www.bugatti.com.)
Do not despair, though. The standard model still has 50 other models to keep walking and production there will be 150 examples of the new Veyron Grand Sport (pictured). To € 1.4m, you get power and speed beyond the level of F1 in the “car was as sybaritic as a Bentley and reliable as a Volkswagen”.
